Interviewing Children to Gain Evidence

This two day workshop is of paramount importance to professionals working with children within the justice system. It is a crucial resource for Judges, barristers, solicitors, magistrates and police officers who all must frequently interview children who have been traumatised by various forms of abuse.

The workshop will teach how to gain evidence and information without further trauma occurring to the child. It is a well-researched and continually emergent theme that children are experiencing continued trauma through the on-going investigatory and legal processes. The syllabus will inform delegates regarding the neuropsychological basis of children’s trauma and develop skills to minimise further harm occurring during necessary processes.

At the close of this programme delegates will learn valuable skills that may be applied using traditional interview and video link mediums.
